Farrara Bros. Concrete Plant

This is also a scan of a print.
I’m trying to great the best scan I can get off of my prints rather then scan a negative.

This is something I have to learn in the next weeks.
Tuesday I will compare my prints to the image on screen, to see how close I am getting.
All I am doing to the scans is converting to B&W and sharpening.

Cement Truck Tires

Responses

Just as an FYI. Ferrara has a concrete plant, not cement. Concrete is made of cement, water, sand, and rock. People mix it up all the time. It is like calling a cake “flour”.

The details in that photo are so clear! I love the repetitive pattern of the tire treads. It’s very rhythmic!

What kind of camera are you using?

You’re right, Michael. I should have known that; I googled concrete and cement when I was realized I did not know how concrete was made and what the different buildings at the plants did.

I use a Leica M3 and Rolleiflex TLS.
