Negative or Postive?
I’ve been listening to Physics Lectures from MIT by Professor Lewin, great stuff. I’m also listening to Berkeley courses Chem and Operating Systems; more on them in another post.
Prof. Lewin does a demonstration in lecture six where he rubs cat fur on glass puts and then plaeces a metal paddle on the glass, touches with his finger the paddle, and finally touches the paddle to a metal can. He tells us the glass is positive and metal can is negative.
I listened to this yesterday and it took me until ten minutes ago to understand why the metal can was negative. grrrrrrrr I feel stupid!
